2022 Charities Thank You letters
During October 2022 cheques for €23,000 were presented by Brian & Laura to Barretstown camp and Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children Crumlin in memory of their son, Ian. The funds raised were the result of the annual ‘Ian Daly Swim A Mile With A Smile’. This was the 19th year of the swim and in that time Ian’s family have raised over €670,000 which has been divided equally between Barretstown and Crumlin.
Thank you to all the swimmers who took part and to their generous sponsors. It is through your amazing support that the event has continued to run each year.
We look forward to the 2023 event which will take place on Sat 22nd April from 1.15pm-3.15pm and Sun 23rd April from 12.15pm to 2.15pm in the Ballyfermot Sports & Leisure Centre [Eircode D10 FT20]. If anyone is interested in taking part this year they can email Brian & Laura on iandalyswim@gmail.com. There is also a training plan on this website to help you build up your fitness ahead of the swim.
